Through all of this, make sure you find time to relax with what you love. Whether it is working out, hanging with friends, making art or music, or just chilling, make sure you leave yourself some down time to de-stress. Remember, take care of yourself!

Q: How long have you attended Fayetteville Academy?
A: 14 years
Q: What activities do you participate in at FA?
A: I play four Varsity sports at school and I am also a member of many clubs at FA. I am the Vice President of Spanish and Key Club, and the Secretary of Spanish National Honor Society. I am also a member of “There’s Something More”, which is a Christian club at school. As well as all the clubs I’m in, I am also in Chorus and love to sing for my friends and family at our concerts.
Q: What kinds of activities do you participate in outside of FA?
A: Many of the things I do at school take up most of my time after school too. When I have free time, I like hanging out with my friends and relaxing with my dog. Another thing I enjoy is dancing with my friends in a dance program called “Steps of Faith”. I am also an acolyte at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: Right now, I have submitted all of my college applications, so now I am just waiting to hear back. I have applied to Appalachian State University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Meredith College, and Elon University. North Carolina has some really great colleges to offer, so I am sure I will be happy at any of these schools.
Q: What will you miss most about FA next year?
A: The thing I will miss the most about FA is the tight knit community. I have always felt supported by my teachers, even after I have completed their class. I will miss my classmates that I have grown up with for 14 years, as well as the new friends I have made over the years. Even though I am leaving soon, I know I always have somewhere to come back to and feel welcomed.
Q: What advice would you give the Junior Class as they become Seniors next year?
A: My advice to the Juniors is to stop stressing so much. Yes, grades and scores are important, but they do not define you. Make sure you are putting equal or more effort into your relationships because that is what matters the most. When you look down the road, you’re going to remember the good memories with your friends, and not the fact that you failed a Physics test.
