Class of 2002
Wyatt Jenkins graduated from East Carolina University in 2006 with a B.S. degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. He began working in the finance sector with Wachovia Bank in October, 2006. In 2008, he joined Wells Fargo Advisors, a predecessor of Wachovia Securities, and has been taking care of his clients ever since then. He married his high school sweetheart, Lauren Ingle Jenkins, and they have two children. Snyder (8) and Avery (6). Snyder is following the footsteps of the Ingle family and is a wonderful baseball player. He hopes to join the Boston Red Sox one day! Avery continues to be a great ballerina and also enjoys performing gymnastic moves all over the house. They both attend the Fayetteville Academy. Wyatt was selected by the Fayetteville Observer as a “Forty Under 40” in the Class of 2012. He continues to stay active in the community through his work with Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, Communities in Schools of Cumberland County, Methodist University (Chair – Foundation Board), and Carpe Diem Foundation in honor of Ryan Patrick Kishbaugh. When Wyatt and Lauren aren’t working or traveling around the state for baseball, they enjoy relaxing at Topsail Beach and occasionally visiting the mountains of NC.
Sarah McCune Valentine graduated from Meredith College. She is the Executive Director of Riverside Ranch and a PATH International certified riding instructor. Riverside Ranch plans to offer therapeutic riding lessons, equine-assisted activities, and engagement with nature and animals. She is also the author of the devotional book, “You are not Alone. He is Here.” Sarah and her husband, Matthew, live in Clayton, NC with their two children, Jonah (7) and Brooke (5).
Michael Pennink graduated from UNC-CH in 2006 with degrees in biology and psychology and from UNC School of Law in 2009. He practiced law with Ray & Pennink PLLC in Fayetteville from 2009 to 2015 and worked for Habitat for Humanity as Director of Neighborhood Revitalization from 2015 to 2018. He is currently practicing commercial real estate brokerage with Franklin Johnson Commercial Real Estate. For the past two years, he has been playing in a classic rock band (www.guyunger.band). Michael states, “No wife, but I have an amazing girlfriend. No kids, but I have a posse of nieces and nephews. Life is good.”
