Class of 1980
Jean Schaefer Moore graduated from St. Mary’s College and NC State University. Her jobs have included Director of College and Church Relations at St. Mary’s College, Director of Development and yearbook advisor at Fayetteville Academy, owner of Moore Exposure, and is currently at BrandAlliance which is a promotion products company that acquired Moore Exposure. She is married to Steven Moore, and they have two children, Hampton, FA Class of 2008, and Kirkland, FA Class of 2011. (2019)
Marian Moorman Morgan currently lives in Fayetteville, NC. She worked with Friends of Children at Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation in Fayetteville for 10 years. For the past 10 years, she has been teaching Academically and Intellectually Gifted elementary students in Cumberland County Schools (Eastover Central and Walker Spivey Schools). Marian married Chris in 1988 and they have two children, James (FA class of 2009) and Mary Kate (FA class of 2014). She has enjoyed her involvement with Fayetteville Academy through the years, serving on the Board of Trustees, Eagle Club, and attending her children’s, nieces’, and nephews’ activities during their years at FA. Dwyn Taylor attended Georgia Tech on a Navy ROTC scholarship and graduated in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He served for 27 years in the Navy and retired in 2011 as a Captain in the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps. Following his Navy career, he worked for two, different, design-build construction firms in Jacksonville, FL. Dwyn is currently managing the campus construction program at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. His wife, Kim, is from Springfield, PA, and they recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Dwyn said, “We’re blessed with two daughters who both live in Florida.” (2019)
