Chorus at FA
About the Fayetteville Academy Chorus
The Fayetteville Academy Chorus includes nearly 100 students divided among several non-auditioned ensembles. The FA choirs travel to perform and compete in national competitions. Last appearance at Festival Disney, they brought home several awards including the Gold Award, Best in Class and Superior ratings. Most recently, they toured the east coast where they had the opportunity to perform at the historical Cathedral de Basilica in St. Augustine, FL.
Students in all choirs perform regularly at school and in the community. The FA Choirs continue to receive invitations to perform with organizations such as the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and the Methodist University Chorale. They have been featured at popular events such as the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens Holiday Lights, the Charles Dickens Festival, and WFNC’s Local Artist Concert Series.
In addition, students from the FA choirs have been selected to represent Fayetteville Academy in the North Carolina Music Educators Association Honors Choruses. It is the goal of their conductor that all students in the chorus program experience the joy of singing rooted in good technique and music literacy in a fun, peer supportive environment.
