Mr. Harbison earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University in 1969 and a M.S. degree in Human Resource Management and Personnel Administration from the University of Utah in 1977. Mr. Harbison has 10 years of full-time teaching experience at the Fayetteville Academy (1997-2007) teaching Middle and Upper School science, math, and technology classes. After a short break, John returned in 2013 as a stalwart substitute teacher throughout the entire academy in all disciplines. In 2017, John accepted part time duty as a first-grade science teacher. This year John responsibilities will include teaching second -grade science as well.

Mrs. Hare graduated with a B.S. in Education from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. She has been in education since 1980 in grades K-5 and has taught the past 31 years in the Fort Bragg School System.

Ms. Hensley graduated from Towson University with a BS in Early Childhood Education and went on to receive her MA in Leadership in Teaching with a concentration in Cultural Proficiency from Notre Dame University of Maryland. Ms. Hensley has spent five years as an early childhood education teacher in the Baltimore County public school system, and she received her Maryland educator’s certification while doing so. In her spare time Ms. Hensley is a certified Cross Fit trainer and judge.

Ms. Intini holds two Associates Degrees, a B.S. from Drexel University, and a M.P.S. from Penn State.

Mrs. Lauren holds a BS in Nursing from East Carolina University. She has been a pediatric nurse for 10 years working in both hospital and clinic settings. She was born and raised in Fayetteville and is a Fayetteville Academy Alumna, Class of ‘02. Working as the school nurse and assistant to Head of the Lower School allows her to have the best of both worlds… working and being a mom!

Mrs. Kaplan serves on the Administrative Team at F.A. and leads our efforts in both fundraising and marketing. She has a BS degree and an MBA from Christopher Newport University. Prior to coming to F.A., Mrs. Kaplan spent time as a registered nurse, a real estate agent, and as a professional grant writer.

Mr. Kirby graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS degree and a double major in Physics and Mathematics. While at U.S.C., he served as an astronomy lab instructor and held a part-time job as an observatory educator at the S.C. State Museum in Columbia. Mr. Kirby has also done extensive work as an undergraduate researcher in the area of astrophysics. He comes from a family of educators, as both his mother and sister are also teachers.

Mrs. Kizer holds a B.A. and M.A.T. from UNC-Chapel Hill. Mrs. Kizer oversees the Lower School through Upper School Media Centers and supports classes that use modern technology in their curriculum.

Ms. Lambert holds a B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill. Ms. Lambert oversees the admission office for grades pk-12. She has served the Academy since 1983.

Mrs. Lee has degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo and Fayetteville State. She is also a member of Pi Lambda Theta and has been with the Academy since 2014.

Ms. Levesque holds a B.S. and an M.A. from Bridgewater State College. She oversees the pk-12 physical education program as well as teaches Lower School physical education. She has served the Academy since 1990.

Dr. Michael Limberg received a BA from Gordon College and an MA from the University of Colorado-Boulder. He recently completed a Ph.D. in History at the University of Connecticut, where he also taught.

Mrs. Long holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Pembroke State University (UNC-Pembroke). She taught for two years at ASSETS School in Honolulu, HI before moving to Robeson County, where she served for 31 years as a teacher at Pembroke Elementary School. Mrs. Long’s daughter, Taylor, is a graduate of Fayetteville Academy.

Following her graduation from Terry Sanford H.S., Mrs. Lutynski studied at both Fayetteville Tech and at Elon University. She worked for a total of eight years as a billing representative and a posting specialist for several medical practices in the Fayetteville area. Mrs. Lutynski has worked as a substitute teacher at both Fayetteville Academy and First School Preschool. She currently works in the Business Office. Mrs. Lutynski has two children, Bailey and Sophie, who are currently students at the Academy.

Mrs. Martin holds a B.A. from Guilford College and an M.Ed from The University of Southern Maine. Amanda teaches Geometry, Advanced Algebra, and Calculus, and works with the yearbook staff and our online students. She has served the Academy since 2008 and has been an educator since 2000.

Mr. McCarthy holds a B.A. and M.A. from Campbell University. Andrew oversees the Boys and Girls Soccer Program and instructs physical education classes. He has served the Academy since 2000.

Title: Business Office Assistant & Director of After School Care Program

Mrs. McLaurin is the Director of Before and After School Care for Fayetteville Academy. She is affectionately known as “Ms. Tina”. She also works in the Business Office handling accounts payable and textbooks. Ms. Tina has been with Fayetteville Academy for 14 years. Before becoming a full-time employee, she volunteered as a room mom, a member of the Eagle Club board, and was also a substitute. She has two sons that are alumni of the school Patrick ’09 and Zack ’12.

Mrs. Mescall holds a B.S. from Ball State University and a MEd. from Fayetteville State University. Mrs. Mescall taught 21 years in public education working with second, third, fifth, and middle school students before coming to Fayetteville Academy.
In 2010, Mrs. Mescall attended the Mickleson-Exxon Science Teacher Academy and was one of 250 teachers chosen from over 1100 nation-wide applicants to attend the week-long academy.
She is currently teaching fifth grade.

Mr. Miller recently graduated from N.C. State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a minor in Psychology. While a student, he completed an internship as an assistant instructor at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences summer camps. He also served as a math and physics tutor for three years and as an assistant teacher in the Neighbor to Neighbor outreach program.

Ms. Osnoe holds a B.A. in English from Campbell University and an M.A. in English Literature from NC State University. She has previously taught at N.C. State, Campbell University, and Cumberland International Early College High School. She has been a faculty member at Fayetteville Academy since 2016.
