Andrew McCarthy Named Assistant Athletic Director

Congratulations to Coach Andrew McCarthy who has agreed to add the title and job responsibilities of Assistant Athletic Director to the many others that he already has at the Academy. “Maca” first came to F.A. in August 2001, and he has established himself as one of the most integral members of our Eagle family in the past 17 years. Under his leadership, the F.A. soccer teams have won nine NCISAA state championships and are annually ranked among the finest teams statewide and nationally. Whether leading our girls’ and boys’ soccer teams, teaching his P.E. classes, or inspiring our school in weekly efforts to feed the homeless in our community through “Operation Engage,” Maca always puts the best interests of our students and school first. In his new role, he will be able to further impact our student-athletes and the members of coaching staff by working together with our Athletic Director, Chip Bishop, in all aspects of our athletic department operations. Maca’s energy, ideas, and expertise will be of great benefit to everyone he works with and that his efforts will continue to help make all our Eagle teams soar!
