Families are encouraged to schedule a campus tour to learn more about the Fayetteville Academy advantage.

In addition to a campus tour, students applying to Pre-K through 5th grades are also required to schedule a classroom visit/observation.

Students applying to grades 6-12 are strongly encouraged to schedule a grade-level visit and in some cases, may be required to do so.

How to Apply

Applying to Fayetteville Academy is easy using our Online Application. We encourage all families to apply online, as it simplifies submission and provides parents a tool for tracking the status of the application.

A non-refundable fee of $80 must be submitted with each application.

Create an Online Application (New Parents)

To begin the Online Application process, please Create an Account. Next, please log in to your account and "Create A New Student Application" for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.

After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school by logging in to your account. You will also be able to print the completed applications, monitor when the school receives supplemental application forms and, if necessary, reprint the supplemental forms.

As part of our admissions process, we ask that parents submit the following information:

• A current academic transcript or current report card (a final, official transcript for high school students is required for the college application process).
• A final report card from the previous school year.
• A copy of the most recent standardized test scores (as applicable).
• Appropriate teacher recommendations, as required via email, mail or fax.
• Documented 504, IEP, and/or psychoeducational evaluations (if applicable).

While these aren't required during the initial application process, they will be needed for proper evaluation of a student's application, so please start collecting them.

For Students Applying to Pre-K-Grade 1

• Assessment and a classroom visit are required and should be scheduled directly with the Admissions Office. 
• Admissions testing is administered onsite at Fayetteville Academy via the Gesell Test.

For Students Applying to Grades 2-12 

• The admissions test is the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Registration and information about the ISEE can be found at https://www.erblearn.org/families/isee-by-erb
• The exam may be taken at home (online) or at Fayetteville Academy (onsite).
• Results are typically received 7 to 10 days after the paper exam and 2 days after the online exam.
• When registering, please list “Fayetteville Academy” under “Score Report Recipients” to ensure we receive the exam results. An event code is required when registering for an onsite exam (see below).
• Testing Costs: Grades 2-4: $125 (onsite) or $155 (at home); Grades 5-12: $160 (onsite) or $210 (at home)

Testing Option 1: At Home Testing (online)

Registration deadline is 3 days before exam date. Please check the ISEE website for computer requirements and instructions.

Notification of the Admission Committee's decisions will be mailed to all families once the entire application process is complete. 

Please note that a file must be complete in order to receive an admission decision. A complete file is: application, application fee, teacher recommendations, current academic grades and/or current academic transcript (if applicable), and admission testing.

Limited financial aid is available in an effort to make a Fayetteville Academy education possible for all qualified students.

Financial aid applications are not accessible until after a student has been accepted. Once you receive your admissions decision, please reach out to the Admissions Office to learn more about the financial aid process.
