Fine Arts Program

Students from the FA choirs have been selected to represent Fayetteville Academy in the North Carolina Music Educators Association Honors Choruses. It is the goal of their conductor that all students in the chorus program experience the joy of singing rooted in good technique and music literacy in a fun, peer-supportive environment.

Visual Arts

Fayetteville Academy’s Middle/Upper School Visual Arts program provides students with a breadth of opportunities. From ceramics to charcoal, acrylic painting to collage, Miss Williams ensures her students are provided with quality materials, lessons and hands-on experiences. Her classroom is a place for experimentation, discovery, and excitement.

What sets Fayetteville Academy’s Middle/Upper School Visual Arts program apart is the variety of classes provided and the individual care each and every student receives. Students are encouraged and welcomed by Miss Williams to step outside of their comfort zone, to push their creative limits, to make artistic breakthroughs and find new passions within art!

Band offers a unique experience that cannot be found in other classes, as it allows the student to engage in the act of performing instrumental music rather than just studying it. The band program at Fayetteville Academy offers students the opportunity to develop their ability to play in a group as well as have enough individual instruction and feedback to hone their personal musical skills. In Band courses at Fayetteville Academy, students will:

  • Learn a variety of unique skills such as reading music, individual performing confidence, and creative musicianship
  • Get exposure to listening and performing several styles of music such as classical concert band music, popular music, and jazz
  • Gain access to exciting performance opportunities such as playing in a community group or auditioning for Honors Band

Students start with Beginning Band in 5th grade and then can decide whether to join the JV and Varsity bands. Students with previous music experience are also welcome to join JV or Varsity Band.
