A Thanksgiving Tradition Continues

During our season of Thanksgiving, it is a Fayetteville Academy tradition to invite our
families to donate a nonperishable food item for our sister school, T.C. Berrien Elementary. T.C. Berrien serves a
number of students from families in need and we have been fortunate to build a relationship with this school for
several years. The increased instability and economic uncertainty of this year means that the needs in our
community are greater than ever. T.C. Berrien is holding virtual classes but we have arranged with their staff to
make sure food will still be distributed to their families for the holiday season.

We will be taking donations until the morning of Friday, 20 November. As we adjust to COVID protocols,
however, please bring the items inside a plastic bag. Lower School students should drop their donations in
designated boxes in their classrooms. Middle School students should drop their donations in the Middle School
Commons, and Upper School students in the Upper School Commons.

With our increased health and safety precautions this year, in order to minimize students’ travel off campus we
need to ask for some parent volunteers to load cars and drive boxes of donations from approximately
12PM-1:30PM on Friday, 20. If you are able, please sign up using this Google form:
