4th and 5th Grade Required Summer Reading

Greetings, Parents of Rising 4th and 5th Graders,

In an effort to continue to bridge the gap between Lower School and Middle School, students who will be in fourth and fifth grades during the 2019-2020 school year will be required to do summer reading. The required reading will be book selections from the upcoming Battle of the Books list.

Your child will be required to read at least two books from the list over the summer. When school resumes in August, he/she will be required to turn in the summer reading journal to their teacher.

For those students who will be participating in the Battle of the Books, it also gives them an opportunity to start reading before school begins.
Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions.

Thank you for your support and happy reading!
Dawn Burt, Head of Lower School, and Fourth and Fifth grade team
